GroveShakespeare has canceled a staged reading of “Don Juan in Hell” at the Gem Theatre in Garden Grove because of “artist scheduling conflicts,” artistic director Stuart McDowell said Friday. The reading, which had been slated for Sept. 14, was to star Ed Asner, Harris Yulin and Rene Auberjonois. McDowell had announced the event at GroveShakespeare’s celebrity benefit in August.
