More than 16,000 walkers are expected to raise nearly $3 million Sept. 20 when Paramount Pictures hosts the eighth annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles on its Hollywood lot.
More than 450 teams from various companies have registered for the 10-kilometer event, a fund-raiser for AIDS Project Los Angeles, which provides services to thousands of AIDS patients and HIV-infected people in Los Angeles County.
To register, walkers are asked to call (213) 466-WALK. There is no fee; each participant will be sent information on how to sign up paying sponsors.
