GOP Bashing of Hillary Clinton
As a longtime Orange County Republican I am ashamed of the “Hillary-bashing” that was exhibited at the Republican Party Convention. Barbara Bush and Marilyn Quayle gave beautiful speeches about family values. It seems a shame that Hillary Clinton has not been given the same press. She represents similar family values. She has gone the extra mile of forgiving a husband, supporting him for President and raising a daughter, while attending to her own career. She represents the intelligent well-educated career woman, wife and mother. She is an excellent role model for young women.
It saddens me that we choose to stand behind party lines and criticize an equally qualified woman. As a career woman, wife and mother I applaud all women, whatever career path they choose, who instill family values and responsibility to others in their children. Everyone talks about needing change. It would help society if we all would be a little less critical and a little more kind to everyone. We need to learn to see the goodness in each other. This needs to begin in each of our homes.
