Two men sitting in a parked car were shot and killed early Saturday by occupants of another car that fled the scene in Los Angeles’ Glassell Park area, police said.
The victims, ages 45 and 25, died at the scene of the 12:30 a.m. shooting in the 3200 block of Edward Avenue in Northeast Los Angeles, said Lt. Dave Waterman. A third man, in his late 20s, was hit by the gunfire and taken to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, Waterman said.
Names of the victims were not released pending notification of relatives.
Police, who were searching for suspects, described the incident as an apparent drive-by shooting, but declined to release information on the number of assailants.
