Cardis Corp.: The Buena Park operator of auto-parts warehouse distribution centers and retail stores reported a profit of $17.5 million, or $7.88 a share, for its fiscal year ended April 30. The earnings included a gain of $21.5 million from a recapitalization in October. For the previous year, the company recorded a loss of $6.5 million, or $12.32 a share. Sales for the latest 12 months declined 8% to $73.3 million from $80.1 million. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 1992, Cardis lost $2.1 million, or 97 cents a share, on sales of $17.9 million. That compared to a loss of $2.8 million, or $5.21 a share, on sales of $18.5 million a year earlier.
