Eli Hernandez, a June graduate of El Monte High School, and Robert Stanley Malecki, a June graduate of John Muir High School in Pasadena, have been awarded $4,000 scholarships in the Home Savings of America Career Awareness Program.
The program offers high school seniors a 15-week course on work readiness and basic consumer economic skills. It includes summer employment opportunities at Home Savings.
Hernandez will major in physics at Harvard University. Malecki will major in mechanical engineering at UC San Diego.
