PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Girl Collapses, Trainers Respond

Team trainers Jim Anderson and Blynn DeNiro rushed from the Rams’ morning workout Monday to give emergency medical aid to a unidentified 13-year-old girl who had collapsed near the UC Irvine practice field.
A doctor credited the two trainers with probably saving her life, according to the Rams. The girl, a Huntington Beach native, was listed in critical but stable condition at the Irvine Medical Center Monday.
Neither No. 1 draft choice Sean Gilbert (ankle injury) nor cornerback Todd Lyght (hamstring) is expected to play in Saturday’s game against the Raiders. Both sat out last week’s exhibition opener against Seattle. . . . Running back Marcus Dupree is expected to play Saturday after sitting out last week’s game because of a toe injury. . . . Running back Robert Delpino sat out the afternoon practice because of a groin injury.
