Fluor Daniel Wins Contract: Irvine-based engineering and construction company Fluor Corp. announced Thursday that its core subsidiary, Fluor Daniel Ltd., was awarded a $58-million contract by Workington Investments Ltd. of London to expand a plastic-producing plant in Cumbria, England.
The expansion, scheduled for completion early next year, would double the plant’s output of polyethylene terephthalate--used in the manufacture of bottles for soft drinks.
