The Presbyterian Church (USA) said it has committed more than $4 million to the rebuilding of Los Angeles through its Creative Investment and Presbyterian Self Development of People programs. The programs’ aims are the empowerment of needy communities and the creation of a better standard of living.
A special group called the Presbyterian Los Angeles County Crisis Commission, headed by Pastor Oliver Brown of Westminster Presbyterian Church, on Jefferson Boulevard, will oversee continuing relief activities.
