Walnut : City OKs Slimmer Budget
The City Council has adopted a $9.2-million budget for fiscal 1992-93 that makes cuts in all departments, eliminates four part-time positions and reduces capital expenditures by 50%.
City Manager Linda Holmes said the only increase in spending will be an additional $200,000 for police and fire services.
The balanced spending plan, approved 4 to 0 last week, leaves the city with a reserve of about $19 million and an emergency reserve of $300,000.
