Countywide : Perot Backers Plan Voter Registration

Ross Perot’s growing army of Ventura County volunteers is planning a countywide door-to-door voter registration drive, organizers said Friday.
Irene Bragg, a volunteer in Perot’s Ventura office, said the effort will begin in the Ventura area in about a month. Martha de Burgh of the Perot campaign’s Thousand Oaks office said the Conejo Valley effort starts in two weeks.
Perot’s campaign offices at 4005 E. Main St., Ventura, and 3065 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks, plan parties today to celebrate his 62nd birthday. The Texas billionaire has not yet officially announced that he is a presidential candidate.
