GETTING THE MOST: Westminster’s Hugo Pomrehn, a vice president at the construction company Bechtel Corp., has been tapped to be second-in-command at the federal Department of Education. Pomrehn had worked on engineering projects with retired Adm. James Watkins, the education secretary, when Watkins ran the federal energy office. The appointment is not yet official, but Pomrehn’s daughter, Kathleen, a physical therapist, says the whole family is excited for him. . . . “He’s the most; he really deserves this,” she says.
