Huston Home Runs Lift Rangers to Split

Pat Huston hit two home runs and Ty Powell and Dave Olson each added doubles to lead a 14-hit attack and the Valley Rangers beat the Victor Valley Mets, 19-5, in the second game of a National Baseball Congress doubleheader at Franklin Field on Saturday.
Victor Valley won the first game, 8-7, despite a home run by the Rangers’ J.P. Des Enfants.
Powell tripled and Ted Weisfuss had two doubles in the first game for the Rangers. Ernie Perez also doubled.
The Rangers are 3-4; Victor Valley is 1-3.
