E. Joseph Zemke, president of Amdahl Corp., has been named to the additional post of chief executive of the Sunnyvale-based computer maker.
Zemke succeeds John C. Lewis, who had held the position since 1983. Lewis, 56, remains chairman.
Zemke, 51, joined Amdahl in 1985 as chief operating officer and was named president in 1987.
