BASEBALL / DAILY REPORT : PIERCE : Brahmas Present Lofrano With His ‘Best’ Season

As the former head baseball coach at Chatsworth High, Pierce’s Bob Lofrano knows what it’s like to coach a team to its ultimate goal. In 1983, Lofrano’s Chancellors won the City Section 4-A Division title.

And although this year’s Pierce team did not win a championship, Lofrano termed this season his “best” as a coach.

“At this level (people) are very much aware of us as a baseball program,” he said. “I’m not satisfied that we only went 1-2 (in the state tournament), but we played our hearts out like we did all year.”
