The Perot Petition Committee, whose goal is to place Ross Perot on the ballot in California as a presidential candidate, has opened a Westside office at 150 N. Robertson Blvd. in Beverly Hills.
Registered voters may sign petitions at the office, where buttons and other campaign material will be available.
The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
To qualify for the November ballot in California, the Texas computer billionaire needs 135,000 valid signatures by Aug. 7. Janice Meyers, co-chairwoman of the West Los Angeles Perot Petition Committee, said she believes the campaign already has enough signatures to qualify.
“We’re trying to get in the millions, so we can make a statement,” she said.
