SANTA CLARITA : Bridge Widening Causes Detours
- Share via
Early morning traffic on the Golden State Freeway is being temporarily detoured at McBean Parkway in Santa Clarita as part of a bridge widening project.
During the installation of steel bridge girders, the Los Angeles County Public Works Department is directing traffic off the freeway using an off-ramp and then back onto the freeway north of the bridge. The detours have been occurring between midnight and 5 a.m. and will continue through Friday. During the project, only the two right lanes are open to southbound traffic.
Similarly, work on the southbound portion of the roadway will take place Tuesday through Thursday of next week between midnight and 5 a.m. Northbound traffic will be limited to the right two lanes during that period.
