The Orange County Sports Hall of Fame announced Thursday that it will present two grants of $2,500 each to the Costa Mesa and Stanton little leagues.
The grants are part of the Hall of Fame’s “Field of Dreams” program, which was created three years ago to support youth baseball in the county.
Twelve other local youth organizations will receive grants of $500 each May 7 at a ceremony at Anaheim Stadium before a 7:35 p.m. game between the Angels and New York Yankees. The hall has donated $125,000 to local programs in three years.
