SAN DIEGO : Police Seek Driver in Fatal Crash

One man died and another was seriously injured after they were hit by a pickup truck while they walked on Otay Mesa Road Tuesday night, San Diego police reported.
Edward Ruiz Trejo, 28, a Mexican national, was taken by Life Flight to Mercy Hospital, where he died. The other man, believed to be in his 20s, is unidentified. He also is in Mercy Hospital.
A driver of a blue Toyota pickup truck, who is unknown and at large, was traveling on Otay Mesa Road near Continental Street at 9 p.m. when he hit the two men. He then drove to a store, where he phoned police.
