CAMARILLO : City Approves Plan to Reroute Its Buses
- Share via
The Camarillo City Council on Wednesday approved a plan that would reroute city buses to make the transit system more convenient to use.
Beginning in May, the city’s two buses will travel one route, making a complete run every 50 minutes.
The municipal system now operates buses on two routes that go through the eastern and central parts of the city, each finishing a run every 75 minutes.
Travel time will be shortened by eliminating stops at mobile home parks on Central Avenue and Pleasant Valley Road, whose residents rarely ride the bus, said traffic engineer Tom Fox.
