Special Elections Waste Tax Dollars
As a precinct officer for many years, I know firsthand that voters are dwindling at each election. Shame on our officials for spending so much money for two special elections--April 7 and April 14--to elect one state senator.
Why not put the Senate seat on the ballot in June when we have our primary? This is just another example of wasting our taxpayers’ money.
Another waste of money is building, staffing and supplying new libraries when our existing libraries are suffering from lack of much needed repairs, staff and material. As a volunteer at two libraries, I speak with some knowledge. Can’t a provision be put on a ballot in plain English to divert bond monies to improve our existing libraries instead of building new ones? Let the voters decide.
