Pomona Professor Honored for Teaching

Martha Andresen, professor of English at Pomona College, was named to receive a Robert Foster Cherry Award for Great Teachers from Baylor University.
The award includes a $25,000 cash prize. The competition is held to honor professors in the English-speaking world for their ability to communicate as classroom teachers.
Andresen, who has been on the Pomona College faculty since 1972, will travel to Baylor in September, where she will lecture on Shakespeare.
