Tone Software Buys AT&T; Line

ANAHEIM — Tone Software Corp., which makes utility software for mainframe computers, said Wednesday that it has acquired a product line from AT&T; Co.’s Network Systems Division for an undisclosed price.
Willia Taubman, director of new business development, said the acquisition will broaden Tone’s product offering in the software business. The AT&T; software centralizes data operations and maintenance of various computer systems into a single system that can be monitored from one workstation.
