In the Olympic League:
Brethren Christian 9, Orange Lutheran 1--Michelle Rueter pitched a one-hitter, striking out 10, for Brethren Christian (5-0, 1-0) at Orange Lutheran. Rueter (4-0) allowed only a second-inning single.
In nonleague softball:
El Modena 2, Fullerton 0--Alexis Beckman (6-2) struck out seven and allowed only a one-out single in the fifth. El Modena (6-3) took the lead in the sixth.
Troy 7, Valencia 1--Heidi Schmidt pitched a no-hitter in her first complete game and first decision of the season for Troy (5-0).
Valencia scored its only run in the bottom of the seventh inning on two walks and two passed balls.
