The Aerospace Void

The Aerospace Task Force report on how Southern California will be negatively impacted for years to come (Aerospace Job Losses, March 17), seems to miss the point. We know how bad things are, and that most likely they will worsen. The few recommendations made in the report seem biased in favor of the Task Force members’ agendas.
Perhaps these experts’ strategic plans, which focus on protection of the aerospace industry, are the problem. If they would come back down to earth, literally, they would discover today’s industrial opportunities. Countries without an aerospace industry are doing quite well.
Get rid of the “experts” and replace them with creative thinkers and doers, willing to create new, exciting industries focused on surface transportation.
