Cultural Customer: Foote, Cone & Belding’s Santa Ana office has been named as the advertising agency, pro bono, for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
The efforts of the agency’s Santa Ana office are usually focused on campaigns for Mazda Motor of America, which is the largest client of San Francisco-based Foote, Cone.
One of the museum campaign’s goals is to raise overall public awareness of the museum, said Bill Hagelstein, executive vice president and general manager of Foote, Cone in Santa Ana.
The museum is the third largest of its kind in the nation, behind the Smithsonian Institution and the American Museum of Natural History. It carries such exhibits as the largest gold nugget ever found in California and the megamouth, a stuffed example of a rare species of shark.
