Alberto Tomba of Italy won the World Cup season’s closing slalom at Crans-Montana, Switzerland, and tied his 1988 personal best of nine victories during a winter.
Paul Accola of Switzerland, who beat Tomba to win his first World Cup overall title, finished second, 0.64 seconds behind.
Tomba, 25, won the season’s slalom and giant slalom titles, and was second for the overall World Cup.
