Los Angeles police were searching Sunday for a man who shot and killed another man during a dispute outside a Van Nuys apartment building.
Victor Perez, 32, of Van Nuys is suspected of shooting Omar Zamora, 29, also of Van Nuys, as the two men argued about 6:45 a.m. Saturday in the 15000 block of Saticoy Street, Officer Hector Diaz said.
Perez, identified as the gunman by witnesses, ran away from the shooting, Diaz said. Zamora died about four hours later at Holy Cross Hospital Medical Center in Mission Hills from gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
Diaz said police do not know what caused the argument.
