Court Appearance: Actor Mickey Rourke dropped into the federal courthouse in Brooklyn on Monday to catch some of the murder-racketeering trial of his acquaintance John Gotti. “I was in the neighborhood so I stopped by,” said the actor, who met Gotti some time back while preparing for a film project. Rourke called Gotti “very intelligent and very generous in giving me his time and helping me do my thing.” The actor, who has starred in “9 1/2 Weeks,” “Angel Heart” and “Barfly,” exchanged quick waves with the reputed mob boss when he walked into the courtroom. During a break, Rourke chatted with several of Gotti’s associates and then exchanged kisses on the cheeks with the men before leaving. Rourke declined to say if he’s working on a film about Gotti.
