HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS : GIRLS’ ROUNDUP : Beckley Leads Brea-Olinda to Victory in Division III

Brea-Olinda earned its fourth consecutive trip to the State final Saturday by defeating Garden Grove Rancho Alamitos, 70-51, in the Southern Regional Division III championship at the Sports Arena.
Sophomore forward Sarah Beckley had her best game of the season for Brea-Olinda (30-2), making all nine of her shots to finish with a game-high 20 points. Senior guard Jody Anton added 18 points and seven assists.
The Ladycats, who shot 53%, took control of the game early by jumping out to a 22-8 lead.
Sophomore forward Timerie James led Rancho Alamitos (23-3) with 15 points and eight rebounds. Lashanda Randle and Anita Stecker added 10 each.
