World IN BRIEF : IRAQ : 50 Nuclear Scientists Reported Recruited

Iraq has recruited more than 50 nuclear scientists from the former Soviet Union, according to two of them quoted in a German newspaper. Yegor Belousov, a laser specialist, and Viktor Bakunin, an expert on multiple nuclear warheads, were quoted by the Dresdner Morgenpost daily as saying that they are en route to “a military complex” near Baghdad.
