A 43-year-old San Diego man died after a drive-by shooting in front of an Encanto nightclub Sunday, police said.
Shortly after 10 p.m., San Diego police officers heard shots fired near the Lomita Club in the 6400 block of Imperial Avenue, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
Silvero Andre Arroyo was found dead outside the club, a spokesman for the coroner’s office said.
Arroyo was shot by an unknown number of suspects, who fled east in a vehicle on Imperial Avenue, Robinson said. Police do not have a description of the suspects or their vehicle and no motive has been identified for the shooting.
Robinson said 30 to 40 people were inside the club at the time of the shooting.
