Hot Line for Reporting Sexual Harassment Urged
- Share via
Los Angeles City Councilman Michael Woo Tuesday called for creation of a sexual harassment hot line staffed by a special operator, two steps he said would encourage female city employees to report harassment.
He also urged the City Council to set up a sexual harassment prevention workshop, which would be attended by at least a fourth of all city employees each year. Woo said the changes are needed to bolster the city’s existing harassment policy, which he claims has failed to provide adequate protection to the city’s 11,000-plus women workers.
