FORGET SOCCER: Edison High School senior Shelley Taylor, above, had a reason for getting into cross-country running as a freshman: She thought it would help her get in shape for soccer. But her soccer days ended quickly. Taylor got into cross-country full time and this year won about every award in sight, leading Edison to the state team title.
