NHL ROUNDUP : Penguins Continue Their Early Slump

With their proposed sale hanging over their heads, the Pittsburgh Penguins continue to look like anything but Stanley Cup champions.

Vladimir Ruzicka scored three goals on assists from Andy Brickley to help the Boston Bruins overcome a three-goal deficit and tie the Penguins, 5-5, Tuesday night at Pittsburgh.

The Penguins (5-6-3) led, 5-2, midway through the second period, but Boston scored twice in a span of 1:51 during a two-man advantage.

The Bruins tied it at 12:52 of the third period on Ruzicka’s eighth goal of the season.

Philadelphia 4, St. Louis 3--Rick Tocchet scored twice in the first period at St. Louis as the Flyers took a three-goal lead and hung on for the victory that ended the Blues’ eight-game unbeaten streak.

Steve Duchesne added a goal and an assist for the Flyers.

Brett Hull scored two goals for the Blues.

Minnesota 3, Detroit 2--Dave Gagner’s second goal of the game broke a tie with 5:32 left to give the North Stars the victory at Detroit.

Winnipeg 2, Vancouver 2--Troy Murray scored in the second period and Luciano Borsato in the third to give the Jets a 2-1 lead, but Robert Dirk scored for Vancouver at 13:35 for the tie.
