La Mirada : Safety Board Considers Blocking Avenida Espana
- Share via
The La Mirada Public Safety Commission is considering turning a street into a cul-de-sac in the Landmark tract, after receiving complaints by homeowners about speeding and cars crashing into parked cars and mailboxes.
The commission advised residents who live in the 48 homes on Avenida Espana to draft a petition requesting closure of the northern end of the street.
Commission staff has asked the police and fire departments for reports on the effect the street closure might have on safety services, and that information will be presented to the commission in November, according to Tom Robinson, director of community resources.
