‘Good & Evil’

I have to vent my spleen about the premiere of “Good & Evil” on ABC. This show, which I looked forward to due to Susan Harris’ participation, is the epitome of bad taste. Any program that bases its humor on these comments and incidents has lost me as a viewer:
* Using “urinary tract infection” as part of a sexual reference.
* Having a blind man destroy a chemistry laboratory with his cane and clumsiness.
* Having a mother laugh about her daughter’s, Teri Garr’s, unattractiveness as a child with her “oozing skin” and joke about leaving her out in the sun all day.
What has happened to discernment? I foolishly expected sophisticated humor but found dumb sight gags and tasteless jokes.
