Opponents of Freeway Plan Should ‘Stop Complaining’
- Share via
It is so interesting these days to see people getting upset about the new freeway from La Verne to San Bernardino. I have lived in La Verne for 16 years and we always knew that the freeway was coming.
People are so upset about their lovely views of the foothills when the smog is so bad you can barely see them anyway.
It’s time that we look at reality and stop complaining. These people whose houses are in the way knew when they bought them and should take responsibility for that action instead of blaming Caltrans.
Our question shouldn’t be about views but maybe to see if it’s possible to build a commuter line on this new freeway into Los Angeles, with park-and-rides next to the freeway.
If La Verne wants an underground freeway, we could build a subway a lot easier and cheaper.
