JAIL TIME: Unhappiness with the proposed Gypsum Canyon jail extends to Corona, where the City Council has urged a veto of Assemblyman Tom Umberg’s bill that would open the way for jail construction. In a swipe at the freshman legislator, the council sent a telegram to Gov. Wilson saying: “As a former mayor, you know how important it is that cities and counties work together. Umberg may be too new to know any better, but you are not.”
