SUMMIT, N.J. — Drug maker Ciba-Geigy Corp. on Monday announced marketing changes as a federal grand jury investigated the company’s tactics.
The grand jury is probing the promotion of an arthritis drug, Voltarin, said company spokeswoman Cathy Kernen. A subpoena for information on the marketing strategy was given to the company Sept. 3, Kernen said.
Ciba-Geigy made changes in their marketing techniques after meetings with the federal Food and Drug Administration earlier this year, Kernen said.
