Everything From Murderous Ex-Junkies to Angels

This week’s releases:

“La Femme Nikita” (Vidmark, $89.95, R). This French import is a unique thriller with an anti-heroine (Anne Parillaud) who’s tres anti: She’s a cop-killing ex-junkie who’s forced by her government to become a political assassin.

“Waiting for the Light” (RCA/Columbia, $92.06, PG). This is the quirky little comedy that Shirley MacLaine kept saying was about to come to theaters but never seemed to. On video now, it also features Teri Garr. The film concerns a small-town diner that becomes a hot spot after an angel is allegedly seen near it.

Also new: “Lena’s Holiday” (Prism, $89.95, PG-13), a comedy about a German James Dean fan’s visit to L.A., and “Masque of the Red Death” (RCA/Columbia, $89.95, R)--not the Roger Corman film but a recent adaptation of the Poe classic starring Frank Stallone and Brenda Vaccaro.

Non-Movie Tapes: The first four episodes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” are available on three $19.95 tapes from Paramount.
