Nation IN BRIEF : WASHINGTON STATE : 2 Climbers Killed on Mt. Rainier; 1 Hurt

Two climbers were killed and one was injured in two accidents on Mt. Rainier in Washington state. One man died but his companion survived when they fell into a crevasse in Ingraham Glacier, about 12,000 feet up on the 14,410-foot mountain. Two other climbers rescued the injured man and recovered the body of the other victim. Shortly afterward, a party of climbers reported seeing a solo climber fall and slide down the mountain in the same area. He was killed.
