ULTRA FLUSH: How much water does it take to flush a hotel toilet? About 3.5 gallons, says the city of Anaheim, which has 1,800 hotel rooms. It’s now testing the ultimate flush: only 1.6 gallons per handle pull. The city, the Metropolitan Water District and the county’s sanitation districts have joined financially in the experimental toilets. . . . The first batch will be installed soon at the Disneyland Hotel. “We plan to use the data to help persuade other Anaheim hotel and motels to make the switch,” said city spokesman Ray Merchant.
