Ever since reading about the “view tax” slapped on beachfront homeowners by the city of Port Hueneme, I’ve been waiting.
Well, where are you? Where are you hordes of angry coastal and view homeowners who are concerned about their own communities following suit? I can’t believe there hasn’t been a follow-up story.
Can’t you just see our Newport Beach city manager and all those council members jumping with glee at a newfound revenue source?
The scary part is this could be just the beginning. What about a “mountain view” tax? A “city view”? “Tree view”? “Road view”? “People view”? “Sky view”? Where does it stop?
