On Aug. 20, the Anaheim City Council approved a utilities users tax (“2% Utility Tax Is Passed in Anaheim After Heated Debate,” Aug. 21). As usual, this tax will have a negative impact on the middle class.
So, on behalf of the middle-class, I want to thank the council for raising our taxes. I also want to thank them for recently raising our electrical, water and trash bills. Most of all, I want to thank them for lowering our standard of living so that they can increase the standard of living of city employees, even though many of them are already overpaid.
