Defective Cribs Recalled: An Indiana company is recalling cribs with loose or missing side slats, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said. The recall applies to 1,735 Childcraft cribs produced by Smith Cabinet Manufacturing Co. of Salem, Ind. Model numbers of the cribs, sold after September, 1988, are 15811, 15821, 15961 and 15991. Consumers may take defective side rails to the place of purchase for free replacements.
