Thomas and the Shirelles are entitled to $843,209 in royalties from two companies that owned or distributed their recordings, a federal appeals court in Cincinnati has ruled. The songs at issue included some of the entertainers’ best-known recordings: Thomas’ “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head”; Pitney’s “Only Love Can Break a Heart” and “A Town Without Pity”; and the Shirelles’ “Dedicated to the One I Love,” “Soldier Boy” and “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.”
