Fields’ article in support of a $10-billion housing loan guarantee by the United States, while Israel continues to mock international law by confiscating Palestinian land in the occupied territories, seems a bit untimely. Amnesty International (July 9) again cited Israel for human rights abuses in the occupied territories.
