Honor Students’ Special Needs

I hope you realize how much good you did by publishing Steve Padilla’s excellent and sensitive article regarding Tom Lee, a student at the Buckley School, in “Student Faces Up to Discrimination of Cruel Yearbook Hoax” on June 15.
I plan to use it with teachers and administrators to help increase their awareness. Perhaps we can encourage some to use it with our students.
One reality of the public school is there are a number of our students who have extraordinary special needs, such as Tom Lee. I think his courage can serve as a model to those students, their peers, and all the adults in their schools.
Thank you very much for sharing Tom Lee’s story with us.
