Robert Lee, head of the International Boxing Federation said he has instructed his medical advisory council to examine last weekend’s junior bantamweight title bout in Texas to determine if the use of six-ounce gloves should be banned. Kid Akeem Anifowoshe, a Nigerian living in Las Vegas, began vomiting blood and collapsed after losing a 12-round unanimous decision Saturday to Robert Quiroga at San Antonio. Six-ounce gloves were used.
